Will Clarke Donate Profits From Book To Families?

9/11 Commissioner Rips Clarke Over Book Deal

"9/11 Commission member former Navy Secretary John Lehman ripped ex-terrorism czar Richard Clarke Wednesday afternoon for cashing in on this week's public hearings into America's worst disaster by using the forum to peddle his book."

Of Clarke's (15 hours) private testimony before the Commission, Lehman said, "I thought you let the chips fall where they may. ... Certainly the greater weight of [your criticism of the U.S. war on terrorism] fell during the Clinton years."

"And I hope you're going to tell me, as you apologize to all the families for all of us who were involved in national security, that this tremendous difference - and not just in nuance but in the stories you choose to tell - is really the result of your editors and your promoters rather than your studied judgment."

Clarke:"And I failed you. We tried hard, but that doesn't matter because we failed. And for that failure, I would ask, once all the facts are out, for your understanding and for your forgiveness."

Since you have apologize to the 9-11 Families, Mr Clarke, Now apologize to
the families of the USS Cole, US servicemen in Somalia, US Embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and the first World Tower Bombing. You were the "counterterrorism czar" when these family members were killed.

If you are truly sorry, Richard Clarke, donate all of the profits from your book to these Families. "Put your money where your mouth is."
